MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has been able to make significant progress into Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 was awarded an Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song for 2017. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN which was his debut long-player for La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The Top Latin Albums chart ranked it at number 8. Vaina Loca the album that was one of the Top Five smash hit in 2010, also featured Noriel alongside Ozuna. He worked with Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and in the year following, he came out with his second album, the chart-topping Dopamina. The year 2021 was the first time he was in a duo with TINI to perform her online track Maldita Foto. 2000, which featured the smash hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo has a musical background, both his parents and brother are musicians. In interviews, he has stated that music was a necessity. As a child, he was taught to perform on the guitar, piano and the ukulele. In spite of initially wanting to become a veterinarian, Julian convinced him that having lessons from a Cuban singing teacher would change his direction in life.
